Apple iPhone 14: Possible major feature upgrades, launch date and more

apple iPhone 14 features are not yet confirmed by Apple, but people are guessing all about its upcoming functionalities and features. The expected reveal of the iPhone 14 is said to be in September 2022, with a possible launch in October 2022 in the US.

There might be significant changes in iPhone 14 features. Unlike other models, it will be easier for customers to choose between standard and Pro models due to the notable differences in functionality and features between most features and functionality for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models.

Some major upgrades for the Apple iPhone 14 are discussed below:

New Face ID Hardware Design and No Notch
Apple iPhone 14 Pro models may not have the notch needed for Face ID. Instead, 2022 models will have a hole-punch style design, as Apple Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in March 2021. A pill-shaped cutout and a circular cutout will be incorporated where the pill-shaped cutout will work as the front camera, Face ID camera, and the circular cutout will work as a Face ID dot projector.

body design
There were some guesses about body design changes in iPhone 14 models. Some of them include no camera bump at the back, and photos of the upcoming iPhone 14 models show a resemblance to the iPhone 13 models.
There will be no 5.4-inch iPhone 14 mini, as Apple will launch 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone standard and Pro models.

There are various claims that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models will be available in the purple shade, in addition to other colors like gold, graphite, and silver.

iPhone 14 models may have a high-end titanium alloy chassis design to make them more scratch-resistant, stronger, and corrosion-resistant.

iPhone 14 models will have a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera and 8K video recording capabilities for a better user experience. The front camera will have an upgraded front lens with a wider f/1.9 aperture and autofocus capabilities.

A16 Chip
Though the iPhone’s new iterations come with an updated A-series chip, iPhone 14 models will be an exception to this standard operating procedure. Only iPhone 14 Pro models will have an upgraded, faster A16 chip, whereas iPhone 14 standard models will work on A15 Bionic. Both chips will be built on the same N5P process, allowing limited improvements to the A16 chip.

according to TrendForce reports, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will have 6 GB RAM (LPDDR4X).

Snapdragon X65 Modem
iPhone 14 models will have Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon X65 modem to provide a 10 GB 5G modem and antenna system. This modem also allows satellite connectivity, so it is possible that the iPhone 14 models have satellite-based emergency communication features.

Other feature upgrades include Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, 2 TB storage, and an eSIM-only design. There might be more surprises to upcoming iPhone 14 models still under the cover.
