New Apple 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter Now Available in US! Price, Availability, and More
Recently, the European Union announced that Apple needs to replace its Lightning Port if it wants to continue selling iPhones in Europe.
EU explained that it wants all gadget makers to integrate the USB-C tech into their products to reduce the e-wasted in the country.

The European Union added that this should be done on smartphones, tablets, as well as camera gadgets.
Although the EU government gave Apple and other tech firms until 2024, it seems like the iPhone maker is already trying to comply with the new rule.

According to MacRumors’ latest report, the new 35W dual USB-C port power adapter of Apple is now available in the United States.

Aside from the US, Apple’s new charging tech is also sold in China, Japan, Mexico, Thailand, Taiwan, the Philippines, as well as Canada.
When it comes to pricing, the new USB-C charger, which has two types (the compact and standard versions), costs $59. But, if you purchase the new MacBook Air M2, you can have it for free.

If not, then you can visit Apple’s official website to buy it separately. The tech giant manufacturer suggested that consumers use the new USB-C charger with the latest MacBook Air model.
But, Apple clarified that it is also compatible with iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and iPhones.
Other Details of Apple’s First USB-C Charger
9To5Mac reported that the first Apple USB-C charger model has the following features:
- Input: 100-240V /1.0A
- (USB PD) Output 1 or 2: 5VDC/3A or 9VDC/3A or 15VDC/2.33A or 20VDC/1.75A
- Allows users to charge two devices at the same time.
All these features are available in the standard and compact versions.
The only difference they have is their physical design; the standard model has power prongs built outward, while the compact version’s prongs are built directly into the power adapter’s body.
